Legless sheep farmer becomes internet sensation
A legless man has become an internet sensation on social media sites in China after his positive outlook inspired thousands.
Wang Xiaobing, a 33-year-old from Zhangjiakou city in Hebei Province had both legs amputated after severe burns caused by an accident at the age of 7.
Although family poverty forced Wang to drop out of school at an early age, he was able to make a living by mending shoes and fixing locks.
Despite his physical difficulties, Wang established a small sheep farm in 2011 with the support of local officials from his village.
His will to live not only won over China’s netizens. In 2008, he married a girl surnamed Li, who moved to Hebei from central China’s Hunan Province. Today, the couple have a healthy 5-year-old son.
Netizens on Sina Weibo, China’s largest social media platform, were inspired by his story.
“When we think we are the most unfortunate in the world, we never know someone who suffers more is still living a positive life. Go for it, ‘tough man’!”. @Mumozhixia
“There is another kind of greatness, it’s not being a hero after millions of fights in battlefields, nor returning to your hometown with honor after succeeding in an important exam, but lifting your life up with braveness, nurturing calmness after hardworking, and building faith in life by hands. Such respect is gained by fighting against inequality and it’s great! Salute! @GGG-Yao

Isn’t this the hideout from Watch Dogs?
Fascinated by the rockin’ hot bods you see in magazine covers and tv shows? Do you set your expectations on beauty based on those images by the media?
Photographer Gracie Hagen forces us rethink the concept of ‘attractiveness’ by showing us that everyone is equally beautiful and equally unflattering in her series ‘Illusions of the Body’.
Remember Champ, the happiest dog in the world? His owner, Candice Sedighan, just shared with us a new series of photos she’s taken of the adorable dog and his new found friends. Recently, Candice ran into a man who was holding chicks in a box. “He asked me if I think any factories would want them, but I offered to take them instead so I could find them a safer home. I bought all the necessary supplies to keep them comfortable and healthy for a few days, and will be donating them to a local college’s teaching farm.” See more photos of Champ and his adventures via Instagram.
